Auctions: More Jabs at Jennifer Wilbanks

A new hot sauce is on the market, named after Georgia “runaway bride” Jennifer Wilbanks.
Jennifer’s High Tailin’ Hot Sauce is selling like, well, hotcakes.
“I’m in the hot sauce business and this is the hottest thing I’ve got right now,” said “Pappy” David Ryan, who runs Pappy’s Peppers in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The label for the habanero hot sauce shows a fast-moving bride grabbing her veil. On the back is a warning: “This sauce may cause you to see intense professional help…voluntarily.”
Another company, herobuilders.com, is selling “Runaway Bride action figures” for $24.95 each.
The 12-inch-tall figures feature a dark-haired smiling woman in jogging pants and a midriff-baring jogging shirt that says “Vegas Baby.” She’s carrying a colorful towel similar to the one Wilbanks wore over her head before boarding a plane to Atlanta. “Get your Runaway Bride today before they run out,” quips the blurb on the website.
