British wife and mother Hayley Shaw put her cheating husband’s Lotus Elise turbo sports car up for auction on eBay. The car was worth 25,000 pounds, or about $48,000 US dollars.
Hayley was angry with her husband, Tim, a radio disc jockey, for loudmouthing about his family and exploits on the air. Tim went too far when he told a guest on his show, British model Jodie Marsh (who reminds me a bit of Pamela Anderson), that he would leave his wife and children for her. Finally having had enough, Hayley posted the auction, which read:
I need to get rid of this car immediately – ideally in the next 2-3 hours before my cheating [expletive] husband gets home to find it gone and all his belongings in the street. I am the registered owner and I have the log book (title). Please only buy if you can pick up tonight.
Well someone did pick it up – for 50 pence – that’s about 90 cents in the US.
“The car is his pride and joy but the idiot put my name on the log book so I just sold it,” Hayley told newspapers. “I didn’t care about the money, I just wanted to get him back,” she added.
Oh, and to rub salt into the wounds, the Buyer left Hayley positive feedback: “Thank you Hayley, the car is excellent – thank your hubby for me.”
