Many PowerSellers are angry with eBay for its rising fees and counterfeit products coming out of China.
The annual eBay user conference was a place for PowerSellers to register their complaints with the online megaseller. “I would not be in this business without eBay, (but) you are just taking more and more out of my pocket,” said one PowerSeller. “eBay pays lip service and does glossy things, putting on shows and dinners, but I don’t feel that community voices are being paid attention to,” said another.
Sites such as Yahoo!, Amazon and Google are luring PowerSellers with less expensive fees and other perks.
