The Colorado Software Internet Association has landed eBay CEO Meg Whitman as keynote speaker for its Oct. 20 gathering in Denver.
Whitman is regarded as a success story in the dot-com world, which saw an implosion of the industry a few years ago while her online auction company continued to thrive.
“We are privileged to have one of the most influential business leaders in the world visiting the state during Colorado Tech Week and to [keynote],” Colorado Gov. Bill Owens said in a statement. “Colorado’s advanced technology industry is one of the largest and most significant in the nation. We are looking forward to hearing from Ms. Whitman and introducing her to Colorado’s technology visionaries.”
