Fandango Inc. and eBay Inc. have teamed up in a marketing services agreement, the two companies said. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The main cog will be the marketing capabilities offered by each of the Web sites. For example, Fandango could offer eBay users links to movie information, reviews and ticket sales. And likewise, Fandango users could be linked to eBay for auctions regarding a particular movie.
Fandango Inc. is the nation’s largest online and phone ticketing service for movie theaters. The company is partnered with more than 1,000 theaters nationwide. The company, based in Los Angeles, also pushes its ability for advance ticket sales. It offers its services through its Fandango.com Web site and 1-800-FANDANGO.
