Weird Wednesday: September 7, 2005

ww

Weird Wednesday is when I look up some weird auctions on eBay and share them with y’all for fun.

I was perusing through the “weird” categories on eBay and found some 60s-hippe-retro items to share this week.

  • Flower Power Beaded Curtain
You’ve probably seen something similar in a 60s-era movie – neat little hanging curtains of flowers, beads, etc. Well now you can have your own, with this flower beaded curtain. Comes with hooks to hang from the ceiling or a doorway.

    Groovy!

  • Mushroom Bank
Dig this crazy mushroom bank. It’s in oh-so-60s yellow, green and brown. Useful as a bank, could be put in the garden or a collector’s item. Bidding starts at only 99 cents.

  • Hippie Parking Only Sign
This cracks me up. It’s an aluminum sign that reads “Hippie parking only, all others will be stoned”. HEE HEE!

    Far out!

  • Hippie Rubber Ducky
eBay Seller The Ducky Depot offers this adorable hippie rubber ducky. “This one is complete with blue vest, sandals, painted toenails, pigtails, peace sign and flower necklace, peace cap, and glasses,” writes the Seller.

  • Plush Jerry Garcia Doll
The ultimate in hippie-dom, it’s a plush Jerry Garcia doll (lead singer of the band The Grateful Dead) complete with guitar. Jerry’s signature gray hair and beard fluff out just like the real dude’s did. He’s even got his black-rimmed glasses. We miss you, man. Peace, brother.

    Still truckin’.
