A quote from Whitman on eBay’s acquisition of Skype: “It can create a new way for buyers and sellers to communicate. It actually will help us get into new categories. For example, if you’re a web designer, it’s hard for you to sell your product on eBay - what you want to do is connect and find out what the buyer wants.”
It’s wait-and-see for what happens with this acquisition, but I’m sure the world will be watching.
