News: Event Catalog, File Exchange and Updates to Reviews & Guides
November 21st, 2005 by Laurie BarakHere are some recent announcements from eBay.
eBay’s Event Catalog is “an optional feature that will help you list your tickets more easily by pre-filling Item Specifics information for you.” Sellers can enter the event name, venue and/or date and eBay will provide the rest of the details. Event Catalog can also automatically generate a map to the venue you can use in your listing. Now not only can you sell tickets to a great event, you can show folks exactly where they need to go to see it.
File Exchange, designed for large Sellers, “allows sellers to list a high number of tickets at one time through a flat file that can be created from an MS Excel spreadsheet, MS Access, or other inventory software.” Check out the File Exchange page in eBay’s Seller Central.
Reviews & Guides is “a place where eBay members can write reviews for certain products, or create informational how-to guides on just about any topic. It’s a great resource for buyers who want to research a type of item before making a purchase, or to simply give you a place to share your opinion with the world.”
Now you can see all of the reviews written about a Seller and any guides they’ve written. Reviews that have been voted “most helpful” will now receive a special status noting their “top review” status. Check out more information about Reviews and Guides here.
