For years if you were a buyer on Ebay you would notice that many sellers were over charging on shipping. Depending on who you ask this is no problem. Ebay has now started to cut down on this and they are pulling auctions for people who they feel are over charging.
Electronics are a favorite for people to charge a lot of shipping on. You can go in to buy a cell phone only to see shipping anywhere from $30 to $99 plus many add a $19.99 insurance charge which is usually illegal. You have to charge the real going rate and it’s $1.35 for items up to a $100 and so on.
On the other side of the board, sellers are getting auctions pulled for excessive shipping that isn’t excessive at all. It could be an ignorant buyer, Ebay’s automated programs, or a competing seller who reported you to get rid of the competition.
All in all, cutting down on excessive shipping has caused other problems.
