Rare Record Foiled By Prankster
December 13th, 2006 by Sandra CampbellI like many media outlets reported on the huge sale of a record by Velvet Underground and its sale of over $170,000. It was an impressive amount considering the fact that the Montreal man bought it for just $0.75 along with two other records. However the seller has just reported that it was all a prank. The sale that was. Something that happens frequently enough on Ebay. Someone just for the fun of it, put up a giant bid that they never intended to pay for. Enough said.
