Tracking Packages with Delivery Confirmation
December 20th, 2007 by Joyce PriddyDelivery confirmation is inexpensive and an easy way to track packages. Even if you sell something as simple as a CD or DVD on eBay, you can use the delivery confirmation. The trick is to package the item so that it meets the delivery confirmation size requirements. I normally put something flat in a manila envelope with tissue stuffed in the middle to make it thick enough to send with a delivery confirmation.
The cost of delivery confirmation is less than a buck. You can send your buyer the delivery confirmation number so that they can track the package. It also keeps shady buyers from getting duplicates of your item because they said that they never received it to begin with. In most States you can deduct shipping and handling as a business expense so it really doesn’t cost you extra to send it with delivery confirmation.
I can’t tell you how many times it was nice to tell a buyer that the package will arrive soon. I would then give them the tracking number and tell them how to track it. This builds confidence in your buyers as well. It’s a great way to ship items that you have to your buyers.
